CRS Health Connect Bridge Privacy Policy
This policy applies to the CRS Health Connect Bridge Android app. It explains what data the app accesses, what the app sends to CRS, what stays on your device, and how the app is intended to be used.
What the app accesses
The app can request access to these data types from Google Health Connect:
- Steps
- Sleep sessions and derived sleep timing
- Exercise sessions
- Heart rate variability (RMSSD)
- Background health-data access, if you enable automatic uploads
The app can also sample your phone's ambient-light sensor locally. If you explicitly allow approximate location, the app can use a cached device location on-device to estimate daylight opportunity from wake time to local sunset.
What is uploaded to CRS
The app uploads daily summary values to the CRS importer for the CRS user linked by your bearer token. Uploaded values may include:
- Date
- Sleep duration and sleep midpoint
- Derived biological time and reference time
- Daily light-exposure summary values
- Steps
- Activity minutes
- HRV
- Timezone offset
What stays on your device
- Your CRS base URL
- Your CRS bearer token
- Last sync time and last sync status
- Locally derived ambient-light summaries
- Approximate location used for daylight opportunity, if you grant that permission
Approximate location is used only on-device for daylight estimation and is not uploaded to CRS by this app.
How the data is used
The app uses the accessed health and light data to create daily summary uploads for CRS and to show an on-device circadian estimate screen. The app does not sell your data and does not share it outside the CRS workflow.
Retention and deletion
The app keeps its local settings and derived light summaries on your device until you clear app data or uninstall the app. Data uploaded to CRS is retained under the CRS platform's own storage and account controls.
Security
The app stores the CRS base URL, bearer token, and sync state locally on the device. Android cloud backup is disabled for this app build to reduce the chance of restoring those local credentials onto another device.
Medical disclaimer
CRS Health Connect Bridge is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition. It is a wellness-data bridge. Please consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
